Play Area & Contemporary Tech Lounge Open at The Westchester
The Westchester, located in White Plains, unveiled two new, unique amenities, a state-of-the-art children’s play area sponsored by Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital called “Play,” and an ultramodern technology lounge called “Connect.” The attractions are part of the first phase of the mall’s new dining area located on the fourth level, “Savor Westchester.”
Play is designed to inspire imagination in a fun, welcoming and engaging environment. The 2,300-square-foot area provides an interactive space for children and their families, and includes strong visual themes for educational entertainment and elements that incorporate the principles of STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math). Play also includes a toddler section with small climbing areas and other interactive elements including sensory engagements. The 330-square-foot area has soft seating areas and additional padded flooring to allow for parents and guardians to stay close to their young children.
Featuring nine flat-screen televisions positioned to create a 16-foot by 9-foot viewing area highlighting sports, news, and entertainment programming, Connect features complimentary iPad stations, phone charging stations and spacious soft seating areas for shoppers to relax while still staying “connected” to various multi-media.
