The Harrison High volleyball team’s season came to an end last Tuesday in the Class A playoffs, with the No. 3 Panas Panthers prevailing over sixth-seeded Harrison in straight sets, 25-7, 25-17, 25-13, at Walter Panas HS.
The Huskies closed their season with a solid 14-7 record.
Senior team captain Dominique Loguidice came up with 10 digs, one kill and one block in the match, Maxine Lieblich had three kills, three aces and four digs, Rose Stokoe delivered nine assists, nine digs a kill and one block, and Valerie Sprovieri added three kills, three service points and two digs.
Huskies coach Candy Light said her team was just flat.
“We came out flat… we were flat,” Light said. “Panas has definitely got a good team, good hitters… but we’ve been playing good teams better than we played. Everyone was just off… it was unfortunate.
“But I think we had a good season,” Light added. “We ended up at 14-6 – not a bad season. I think we probably could have done a little bit better, we had our ups and downs… we just need to work on not having so many downs.”
