Putnam County Chambers of Commerce Announces 2013 Trailblazer Awards Gala

We are part of The Trust Project

The Putnam County Chambers of Commerce (PCCC), the county’s largest business organization and primary advocate, voice, and resource for the business community, announced today it will host the 4th annual Trailblazer Awards at Mahopac’s Villa Barone Hilltop Manor on January 31st.  Tickets may be purchased online for $75 each at putnamchambersny.org. Emceed by Putnam County Executive MaryEllen Odell and Sheriff Donald B. Smith, 35 business professionals will be recognized for their outstanding success. A Live Auction will be featured at the event to raise funds for cross-county Community Development Projects throughout 2014 and 2015.

“After the success of last year’s “40 Under 40” Trailblazer Awards, we are anxiously looking forward to a full-house event this year, brimming with high energy and celebration,” says Jennifer Maher, Chairwoman, Putnam County Chambers of Commerce.  “The PCCC’s mission and value continues to be about advocating for the needs of our business community, as a whole, and ensuring our voices are heard at all levels of government. In addition to recognizing the success of our county’s best and brightest business professionals, this gala brings all of us together on common ground to celebrate the vital contributions that our businesses provide to ‘Main Street’ and our residents.”

“I am delighted to be part of this important event and my hearty thanks and congratulations goes out to all of the Trailblazer Award honorees,” says MaryEllen Odell, Putnam County Executive & co-Master of Ceremonies.

“Virtually, since the day I took office, the Putnam County Chambers of Commerce has been working together with me and my staff on key issues affecting our business community. In a relatively short time, with the help of Jennifer Maher and Bill Nulk, in particular, we have been able to tune into the needs of our businesses on a more strategic, actionable level. This has resulted in the county’s improved focus on programs such as the Putnam County Transportation Task Force, which will increase traffic flow to businesses and attractions in the county by making it easier for our residents to get there,” said Odell.

Now in its fifth year, the Trailblazer Awards program honors Putnam County business owners and business employees who have gone above and beyond in one of the following categories: Emerging Trailblazer, Established Trailblazer, Mature Trailblazer, Environmentally Engaged Trailblazer or Socially Conscious Trailblazer.
