Wild Fusion
Wild Fusion calls itself an “Asian Sushi Grill and Bar”, and it more than lives up to its name. I met a friend there Thursday night for Martini night, which is a choice of specialty martinis for $5.00. I tried the French martini which is fruity and yummy, and my friend had a Lemondrop (or 3), which she enjoyed.
Today we met there for lunch. The restaurant was quite crowded. Service was prompt and courteous. My friend Shari is a vegan, so I was interested to see what she would order. We started with delicious bowls of miso soup, followed by the vegetable tempura appetizer. The plating was pretty, the dipping sauce had just the right level of saltiness, and the vegetables were cooked perfectly.
Next our entrees arrived. Shari ordered the “any 3 roll” lunch special. She chose 2 avocado rolls and an asparagus roll. The plate was served with an artistic butterfly design drawn on the plate using different sauces, accompanied by a good sized bowl of dipping sauce.
I ordered the shrimp teriyaki lunch box. It was served in a large bento box containing dressed fresh green salad, four California rolls, shrimp and assorted sliced vegetables in a well-balanced teriyaki sauce, and rice. It was a very generous portion, and I actually couldn’t finish the salad. The various contents of the box were all at the proper temperatures, light, fresh, and extremely well prepared. The Chefs’ attention to detail is obvious and the final product shines because of it. I will be going back very soon to try the dinner menu, and to have another French martini, of course!
